Updates:
The Saint Paul Area
Chamber of Commerce Charitable Foundation board is
actively seeking nominations for its annual service to
community award, the H.E.R.B.I.E.
The H.E.R.B.I.E. award is
inspired by Saint Paul native and hockey legend Herb
Brooks. The qualities and attributes HERBIE stands for
are Humanitarian, Enterprising, Resilient,
Bold, Inspirational and Ethical.
NOMINATIONS ARE DUE NO LATER THAN FRIDAY, FEBRUARY
29, 2008.
This award honors an
individual and a company for demonstrating exemplary
dedication to the community through significant public
service. ‘Community’ is defined by the primary
geographic area served by our chamber membership (Saint
Paul and East Metro area).
Recognizing that many
people volunteer and honor our community with service,
we accept that an Individual nominated
MUST live or work in the Saint Paul/East
Metro area, but his/her place of employment does not
need to be a member of our chamber.
If a Company/Business is
being nominated – they MUST be a member in
good standing with our chamber. A member company may be
nominated only if their membership with the Saint Paul
Area Chamber of Commerce is greater than one year.
Through their service to
the community, the individual or business must have made
a significant contribution by fostering a climate of
excellence that enhanced the Saint Paul/ East Metro
area, creating a desirable place to live and work.
