Ford Site Business Advisory
Group — made up of business representatives
from your Chamber and the Highland Business Association
— has developed a position statement on the
planning process for the Ford Site. The group
feels the redevelopment should: maximize tax base
creation, generate net new taxes of least $1.25 million,
create at least 2,000 jobs, reuse the Canadian Pacific
rail line to include vehicular traffic while
incorporating other transportation modes, contain new
retail development focused along Ford Parkway, include
structured parking in the site’s northeast corner, and
have green space with a mix of active and passive uses.
For more information on the Business Advisory Group or
for a complete position statement please contact Michael
Belaen at 651.265.2773.
