Paul Area Chamber of Commerce works on your behalf to address the issues
of workforce development through leadership of the
Chamber's Charitable Foundation and its mission to
grow strong leaders and prepare tomorrow's
employees. The future success of any business relies
primarily on the strength of its employees. As
businesses compete on a global level, minimum levels
of education can no longer be accepted.
Students must be provided the necessary resources to
compete and be successful in the workplace. Workforce
Development
Your chamber’s foundation is the “Dow Jones” (a
voice) to help employers recognize emerging labor
market trends in the local and regional markets to
help maintain and advance the economic vitality of
our Saint Paul/East Metro area. This is accomplished
through Business Education Summits, articles and
facts, and leadership classes that address topics
identified by members as issues in the workplace.
Shaping the Future Workforce
The Foundation is your “partner in commerce and
education” which looks for ways to provide
businesses a connection with high school and college
students through internship and mentorship
opportunities where applied learning can compliment
classroom studies.
A key indication of success in economic development
is higher education; therefore, our foundation seeks
to secure necessary funds that can connect
the business community and deliver student
scholarships which reinforce continued learning
beyond Pre K-12 education.
Finally, we articulate incentives for
business to remain involved in efforts to improve
Pre K-16 education based on business workforce
