Right Track is a great way to gain access to a talented pool of diverse candidates to help your business at a reasonable cost, typically $1,500 per student. Our goal is to produce even more opportunities for motivated youth.
Youth have been pre-screened by Right Track and matched to positions based on interests and skill. They receive workforce-readiness training throughout the summer, focusing on professional dress and behavior, and entry-level skills like typing, filing, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Right Track staff members are available to do on-site job coaching and provide support throughout the summer.
By employing a Right Track intern, you expose youth from diverse backgrounds to careers in your industry and your business/organization receives recognition on Right Track materials and events as a supporter of Saint Paul’s future workforce.
Right Track interns can help you with many of your entry level administrative work including:
• Filing, copying, scanning
• Data entry
• Answering phones
• Help with mailings
• Inventory / organizing
• Event staffing
• Community outreach
Our workforce is changing and we will have fewer skilled workers in the future to replace the retiring Baby Boomers. More than 50% of global CEO’s are concerned that a key skills gap could limit their job prospects. Racial disparities also threaten our competitive advantage.
Since 2000, the share of youth who are working has plummeted by 40%. That means fewer experienced workers for employers to hire. We must act today to cultivate a talented workforce for tomorrow. This will ensure that our region is a place where people want to live and do business.
Please consider supporting Right Track through the Really Big Time Raffle. The proceeds will subsidize wages for small businesses and non-profits to support interns during the summer of 2016. We sell 300 - $100 Raffle Tickets. The winner walks away with $10,000 and three runners-up win $1,000 each.
