East Metro transit projects. Advocate for specific projects including Riverview Corridor, the Gold Line, and the Rush Line Corridor, and for transit projects that improve connectivity throughout the region.
Partnerships. Partner with East Metro Strong and the Minneapolis Regional Chamber, through a grant from the McKnight Foundation and the Bremer Foundation, to advocate for statewide infrastructure investment as well as increased rail and bus rapid transit lines in the region.
Statewide transit. Support/Endorse a sustainable, predictable, and comprehensive funding mechanism for statewide transit and infrastructure, including our rail and river transportation networks.
Bonding requests. Support/Endorse state bonding requests for infrastructure projects, including the Ports Development Assistance Program, which provides for improvements to the broader transportation infrastructure.
People in Minneapolis-St. Paul can now choose buses that are faster, more user-friendly, and more comfortable. Metro Transit calls it arterial Bus Rapid Transit (aBRT). We call it Better Buses MSP! Now there’s a proposal to build more aBRT lines and bring better bus service to more people.
